Comment on unitary pole expansion for hard core potentials

The negative zero eigenvalues in the unitary pole expansion for hard core potentials are shown to contribute nothing to the exact t matrix. We suggest that approximations involving these terms can account for the observed loss of convergence for the unitary pole expansion.
