A su(2)is contained inso(3,1)is contained inso(3,3) spin Casimir operator is shown to equal a sl(2,R) Casimir operator. This sl(2,R) Casimir operator may be factored to yield a wave equation describing a massive spin- 1/2 particle. This wave equation possesses only timelike momentum solutions, of both positive and negative energy. Moreover, the expectation value of the electric dipole moment, with respect to these solutions, vanishes in a rest frame of the particle.
