Polarization phenomena in the emission of a photon by a relativistic electron in the field of an intense linearly polarized electromagnetic wave

Manifestations of nonlinear effects are studied for the polarization properties of high-energy photons produced in the collision between a linearly polarized laser beam and polarized relativistic electrons. Nonlinear effects significantly modify not only the energy spectrum of unpolarized photons, but also the values of their Stokes parameters relative to the case of ordinary Compton scattering.
