Angular distributions of differential cross sections and vector analyzing powers of the reactions /sup 9/Be(d,p)/sup 10/Be, /sup 9/Be(d,t)/sup 8/Be, and /sup 9/Be(d,. cap alpha. )/sup 7/Li at E/sub d/ = 2. 0--2. 8 MeV

Differential cross sections and vector analyzing powers have been measured for reactions produced by polarized deuterons in the target nucleus /sup 9/Be with emission of charged particles. A theoretical analysis is carried out in the framework of the distorted-wave method with use of a single set of optical-potential parameters in the entrance channel. Good qualitative agreement is obtained between the experimentally measured and calculated angular distributions, which permits the conclusion that there is a dominant contribution of the direct process in the mechanism of the reactions.
