Measurements of (Ar II) 6.99 ..mu..m and Pf..cap alpha.. 7.45 ..mu..m made from the Kuiper Airborne Observatory are presented for Sgr A, the H II region at the center of the Galaxy. These line strengths, when combined with ground-based measurements, suggest a factor of 2 enhancement in the Ar/H ratio in the galactic center region relative to that in the Sun and in the solar neighborhood. The accuracy of the determination is presently limited by the uncertainty in the collision strength for Ar/sup +/.
