Simulation in Ada; Proceedings of the Eastern Simulation Conference, Norfolk, VA, March 3-8, 1985
The development of ADA compilers in 1984 reached a stage that now permits the implementation of ADA-language-based simulators which can handle large programs. The conference covered topics such as automated Ada-based methodology simulator program development. Attention was also given to implementing a simulator as a set of Ada tasks and testing software for Ada language discrete simulation models. Attempts at developing a moving target, distributed, real-time simulation using Ada for studying jet engine performance are described. Finally, techniques for simulating parallel computational processes for optical control problems are contrasted with sequential optimization process performance.
