Molecular mechanism for charge exchange of hydrogen mesic atoms on helium nuclei

The process of molecular charge exchange, which imitates the direct charge exchange of hydrogen mesic atoms on helium nuclei, is studied. The energy levels and production rates of the mesic molecules /sup 3/He p..mu.., /sup 4/He p..mu.., /sup 3/He d..mu.., /sup 4/He d..mu.., /sup 3/He t..mu.., and /sup 4/He t..mu.. are calculated. It is shown that the rate of the molecular charge exchange mechanism is lambda/sub ex/approx.10/sup 8/ sec/sup -1/.
