Eta-eta' problem: A place for the glueball

We study the problem of the single-octet mixing in the pseudoscalar meson nonet, taking into account the possible existence of a pseudoscalar glueball which is mixing with the quark states. We study the properties of a third pseudoscalar isosinglet meson which arises in this scheme, and discuss the possibility of its experimental detection.
