Some recent work with Monte Carlo methods

Conference · · AIP Conf. Proc.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5859236
In the two years since Monte Carlo simulation was introduced to elementary particle theorists, it has become a useful tool for studying a wide variety of problems. Some of the recent work using this technique is reviewed. Three topics are discussed: 1) Monte Carlo studies of topological objects and the effect of boundary conditions; 2) methods for studying systems with fermions; and 3) specialized computing machines for performing Monte Carlo Simulation.
