Determining the optimum live section and hydraulic resistance for gas distribution gratings in fluidized-bed apparatus

The results of investigations carried out to determine the optimum design parameters for bar gratings in fluidized-bed apparatus are presented. Gas distribution gratings assembled from bars can be taken as the optimum for fluidized-bed apparatus, on the grounds of uniform gas distribution, simple construction, and reliability. Relationships have been derived for finding the live section and hydraulic resistance of bar gratings of this type.
