A fuel supply system for a carburetor of an engine is described which consists of: a sealed float chamber; fuel inlet means to the float chamber for supplying fuel thereto; fuel jet passage means for delivering fuel from the float chamber for carburetion; an air vent passage from the float chamber; a control valve in the vent passage; and a valve controller responsive to a selected level of engine intake vacuum to close the control valve.
