Application of thermal desorption analysis to material compatibility
Shelf life of neutron generators is concerned mainly with the maintenance of a good vacuum within the tube envelope. Frequently, gas-metal interactions can cause a malfunction within the tube. This paper deals mainly with gas-metal interactions that have been characterized using thermal desorption analysis techniques.
