Automatic running work vehicle
This patent describes an automatic running work vehicle having a vehicle body provided with front and rear steerable wheels for treating areas along a boundary between treated and untreated areas on a surface. The work vehicle consists of: foller sensor means for detecting the boundary; orientation sensor means for detecting a running orientation of the vehicle; signal generating means for determining a diviation of the running orientation from a preset reference orientation and for generating a first signal when the deviation is within a permissible angle and a second signal when the deviation is beyond the angle; steering control means for causing the front and rear wheels to steer the vehicle body toward the boundary by steering all the wheels in the same direction in response to the first signal, and by steering respective wheels in different directions to each other until the deviation falls within the permissible angle in response to the second signal, and by returning the wheels to neutral positions when the foller sensor means detects the boundary.
