Interaction of 2,4-diamino-1,2lambda/sup 3/,4lambda/sup 3/-azadiphosphetidines with some electrophilic reagents

New types of 4 M heterocycles containing one or two phosphonium centers in the molecule have been obtained by the alkylation of 2,4-diamino-1,2lambda/sup 3/,4lambda/sup 3/-azadiphosphetidines. The structures of the azadiphosphetidines have been investigated by NMR and x-ray structural analysis, and some geometric parameters of the cis- and trans-isomeric compounds have been determined. A reversible isomerization of the cis and trans forms of the monophosphonium salts has been found, and the standard thermodynamic parameters of this process have been determined.
