Engine idling speed controlling system
An engine idling speed controlling system is described including: a stopper member for restricting a stop position on a closing side of a throttle valve mounted in an intake passage of an engine; an actuator for actuating the stopper member to change the closing side stop position to thereby control the opening of the throttle valve; a throttle position sensor for detecting an opening of the throttle valve; an engine speed sensor for detecting the number of revolutions of the engine; a first idling speed control means for comparing a detected signal from the engine speed sensor with a target idling speed of the engine when the throttle valve is under control by the actuator and providing to the actuator a first idling control signal obtained from the result of the comparison; a second idling speed control means for comparing a detected signal from the throttle position sensor with a target idle opening of the throttle valve when the throttle valve is under control by the actuator and providing to the actuator a second idling control signal obtained from the result of the comparison; an operation control means for controlling the operation of the first idling speed control means and that of the second speed control means; and a correction value learning means for learning a correction value for the second idling control signal on the basis of a detected signal from the throttle position sensor during operation of the first idling speed control means, the correction value learning means being constructed so as to determine as the correction value both a long-time correction value based on a cumulative evaluation of detected signals from the throttle position sensor during operation of the first idling speed control means and a just-previous correction value based on the newest detected signal from the throttle position sensor during operation of the first idling speed control means.
