Ceramic based on binary rare-earth vanadates

The present communication presents the results of a study of the synthesis conditions by hot pressing for dense ceramics based on a new group of complex oxide compounds, K/sub 3/Ln-(VO/sub 4/)/sub 2/ (Ln = La, Pr, Md, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu). It also gives several physicochemical properties of the resulting samples.
