Mineral resources of the High Rock Canyon Wilderness Study Area, Washoe County, Nevada

Book ·
OSTI ID:5842246
The High Rock Canyon Wilderness Study Area, in northwestern Nevada, consists mostly of Tertiary volcanic flows and volcanoclastic sediments. There are no identified mineral resources in the study area. However, these studies indicate that parts of the area have a high resource potential for zeolite, a moderate resource potential for gold, silver, and mercury, and a low resource potential for uranium, lithium, geothermal energy, oil, and gas resources.
