Development of stirling technology in China and its prospective role in solving the energy problem in developing rural areas

This paper briefly describes the rural energy situation in China and the appropriate role of Stirling engine in connection with the rural energy policy in China. The analysis serves as a preliminary feasibility study of developing Stirling engine technology in this country where coal and biomass resources are comparatively more abundant than petroleum. The paper also presents the Stirling technology development in China.
