Central production in pp and p-barp reactions

We improve a model for central production in pp reactions introduced earlier by one of us. We extend its applicability to the production of low-mass particles (such as ..pi..,K) and to transverse-momentum distributions at low p/sub T/. We obtain absolute normalization for these cross sections. We also compare our model predictions with preliminary data from the CERN p-barp collider.
