Three-body cluster structure of the /sup 9//sub ..lambda../Be hypernucleus is studied by means of the hyperspherical-function method in the momentum representation using realistic ..cap alpha cap alpha..- and ..lambda cap alpha..-interaction potentials. The same method is used to investigate the state of the continuous spectrum of the ..cap alpha..+..cap alpha..+p system with inclusion of all interactions between particles. The proposed unified approach is used to calculate: 1) the binding energy of the /sup 9//sub ..lambda../Be hypernucleus, 2) the ..pi../sup -/ meson energy spectrum in the reaction /sup 9//sub ..lambda../Be ..-->.. ..cap alpha..+..cap alpha..+..pi../sup -/+p, 3) the distribution function of relative energies of ..cap alpha.. particles, and 4) the distribution function of the ..cap alpha.. particle emission angles. It is shown that the convergence of the /sup 9//sub ..lambda../Be hypernucleus binding energy for the potentials considered is rather rapid, and the theoretical results obtained are in good agreement with the experimental value. All characteristics of the reaction /sup 9//sub ..lambda../Be ..-->.. ..cap alpha..+..cap alpha..+p+..pi../sup -/ studied change considerably with inclusion of the interaction between the reaction products, and they are rather critical to the chosen form of the ..cap alpha cap alpha.. and ..lambda cap alpha.. interaction potential. It is shown that these characteristics have pronounced peculiarities which enhance the interest in their detailed experimental study.
