Radiological protection options for subseabed high-level waste disposal

This report defines the radiological protection criteria options that apply to nuclear waste disposal. The history of radiological protection is examined and existing national and international laws and regulations are reviewed. Problems particular to subseabed disposal are discussed. This review is the first step in developing working standards for Subseabed Disposal Program sensitivity and feasibility studies.
