Degradation of resins in EPICOR-II prefilters from Three Mile Island

The Low-Level Waste Data Base Development - EPICOR-II Resin/Liner Investigation Project funded by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission is examining the chemical and physical conditions of the synthetic ion exchange resins found in several EPICOR-II prefilters PF-8 and -20. Results are compared with baseline data from tests performed on unirradiated EPICOR resins to determine if degradation has occurred due to the high internal dose received by the resins.
