This patent describes a collar of generally tubular configuration and of varying wall thickness. The collar has a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end, an inside surface, and an outside surface, the inside surface being characterized by a generally radially inwardly extending flange or rib at a position adjacent the first end of the collar and a generally cylindrical inside surface portion extending between the generally radially inwardly extending flange or rib and the second end of the collar. The cylindrical inside surface portion is concentrically positioned around the longitudinal axis of the collar. The outside surface of the collar is characterized by a portion of oval or elliptical cross-section. The portion of oval or elliptical cross-section has a major axis measured through the longitudinal axis of the collar and a minor axis measured through the longitudinal axis of the collar.
