Concrete solar collectors

A precast solar collector panel of moldable hardenable material, such as concrete, which is of sufficient structural integrity to serve as a structural member is described. A method for forming complex passageways within a block of moldable hardenable material is discussed. The solar collector consists of a serpentine passageway in proximity to the planar surface of the panel which serves as a conduit for the heat transfer fluid. Applications of these panels in providing heat to interior building walls, swimming pools, driveways and walkways are discussed. The suitability of these panels in forming fences is considered. (SPH)
