The traveler's objectives were (1) to give the the introduction and chair the third session of the Workshop on Radiation Research Related to Space Stations and Missions Beyond the Magnetosphere, which Prof. Buecker, Dr. D. S. Nachtwey and the traveler had organized; (2) to act as referee for the papers presented in Session 2 of the Symposium on the impact of environmental factors on radiobiological processes in space; (3) to attend the meeting of the chairmen and vice chairmen of the Commissions as vice chairman of the Commission of Life Sciences; and (4) to attend the editorial meeting of Advances in Space Research. One of the papers presented was co-authored by the traveler.
