An economic analysis of the electric utility sector in the Ohio River Basin region

This report was prepared in support of the Ohio River Basin Energy Study (ORBES), a multidisciplinary policy research program supported by the Environmental Protection Agency. The potential effects of these different pricing mechanisms on capacity requirements, load factors, and fuel costs are discussed, with particular attention paid to their implications for the ORBES region.
