Purchased gas costs in early 1985

Book ·
OSTI ID:5809179
The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America reports on its review of Purchased Gas Adjustment (PGA) filings submitted in early 1985. These filings, which provide the first indication of the actual effects of the partial wellhead price decontrol implemented on January 1, 1985, indicate that purchased gas costs can be expected to decline about $0.10 per MMBtu (3.2%) relative to late 1984 PGA data. The analysis also finds that more than 90% of the interstate market has purchased gas costs below $3.25 per MMBtu in early 1985, and approximately 60% of the interstate market has purchased gas costs below $3.00. This represents a substantial downward shift from the previous filing. 2 figures.
