Parametric interaction of wave beams in a medium with random inhomogeneities

Diffraction broadening and energy exchange of quasioptical wave beams interacting in a plane-stratified quadratically nonlinear medium with large-scale random inhomogeneities are investigated by the moment method. The features are analyzed of interaction scales, diffraction disynchronism, and multiple scattering. Analytic expressions have been obtained, making it possible to estimate the requirements on the trace length and the aperture width of experimental devices capable of creating the effective beam transformation on the basis of diffraction detuning in a randomly inhomogeneous medium.
