Lederman wins Fermi award

Leon Lederman has received the 1992 Enrico Fermi Award, presented in recognition of a lifetime of achievement in nuclear energy. This article briefly details Lederman's award-winning work (1988 Nobel Proze in Physics) in high-energy physics -- his discovery of the upsilon particle and the muon neutrino. His leadership in the creation of the superconducting accelerator at Fermilab and his leadership in science education of society are also cited with respect to the Enrico Fermi Award.
