Parasitic effects of Far-Field Sheaths (FFS) during ICRF plasma heating and CD in tokamaks are estimated. FFS are driven by rf potential generated by E{sub {parallel}} along field lines and might be responsible for significant power dissipation near the wall, limiter and antenna structures. {copyright} {ital 1997 American Institute of Physics.}
