Long-term leaching of two simulated waste glasses

Static leach tests (MCC-1P) are being conducted on SRL-131 and MCC 76-68 glasses for a duration of two years. The one-year results from these tests performed at 40/sup 0/C and 90/sup 0/C are available. The data indicate similar leaching behavior of the two glasses in deionized water at 90/sup 0/C. The type of leachant has a marked effect on the normalized elemental mass losses, with the lowest losses observed in brine.
