Improved computer program to predict rollover in LNG with and without nitrogen

Air Products' improved LNG rollover model is a self-contained program requiring no thermophysical property input. Written to represent a three-component LNG (methane-ethane-nitrogen), the program quickly calculates accurate physical and equilibrium properties for a wide range of component ratios. The model considers an initially stratified tank or one where stratification occurs as filling progresses. Compared with the original program, the new model is easier to execute and simulates actual rollover incidents much more closely.
