Simulation of desulfurization in a fluidization bed limestone reactor

Desulfurization in a fluidized bed limestone reactor is modeled and simulated by coupling a model for reaction kinetics with a hydrodynamic model based on the two-phase theory. The stack gas from a coal combustor containing SO/sub 2/ is used as the fluidizing gas.
