An investigation of the characteristics of a bus necessary to meet the demands of elderly and handicapped in urban travel are covered: Objectives were to identify characteristics of small bus vehicles necessary for elderly and handicapped urban travel, and identify problem areas for elderly and handicapped in boarding, alighting from and manuevering in small transit buses. (Bus stop manuevering will be covered in a later report).
