2 firms marketing new cogeneration equipment

Thermo-Electron Corp. and Rushton Gas Turbines, Inc. are marketing new cogeneration equipment. The Thermo-Electric 60-kW (Tecogen CM-60) for small applications will cost about $50,000 to buy and install and will have a 1.5- to 2-years payback. The $2 million Rushton industrial gas turbine would be connected to a boiler for heat recovery and have a 22- to 38-month payback. (DCK)
