A new gas lift valve is described for producing wells which utilizes a float in a closable chamber to sequentially gather liquid from the formation. The liquid accumulation and resultant movement of the float initiates gas injection into the closed chamber wherein the liquid is lifted in the tubing string from the closed chamber. The injection is automatically terminated on removing a substantial volume from the chamber. (6 claims)
