Self-consistent models of perfect triaxial galaxies

The properties of self-consistent stellar-dynamical perfect ellipsoids are investigated by means of numerical simulations, applying the basic approach of Schwarzschild to 21 ellipsoids with differing axis ratios. The density of the mass model is matched at 240 points using an unbiased catalog of 1065 orbits. The results are presented graphically and characterized in detail. Solutions are obtained in each case, and the solution spaces are found to be large and slowly changing. 77 references.
