Pseudovector. pi. N coupling and the relativistic model of the pion condensate

Instability of relativistic nucleon matter with respect to pion condensation is studied in a model with pseudovector ..pi..N coupling. Expressions are obtained for the amplitude and the period of a weakly inhomogeneous one-dimensional pion condensate in the relativistic region of the nucleon Fermi velocities. It is shown that for the pseudovector nature of the ..pi..N coupling the relativistic corrections are more important than in the pseudoscalar variant of the theory.
