An accurate estimate of the neutron fluence at the reactor pressure vessel is necessary to ensure the integrity over the designed lifetime and to support analyses for a potential plant-life extension. The calculated values are consolidated using the measured in-vessel capsule and/or cavity dosimeter data. A large calculational transport SN model (extending into the concrete shielding) is employed. This paper studies the effect of the angular quadrature order on the accuracy/efficiency of flux calculations at the cavity dosimeter.
