This patent describes an air line to exhaust system connector for a vehicle exhaust system having an exhaust pipe. The connector consists of: means including a pipe element with a tapered section, the tapered section having a narrow part and a wide part, the narrow part being a first end of the pipe element, the wide part terminating in a flat head, means for driving the tapered section into a pilot hole located in the exhaust pipe until the flat head comes into abutment with the exhaust pipe, the tapered section spreading the pilot hole when the tapered section is driven into the pilot hole and means for attaching an air line to the vehicle exhaust system provided by a second end of the pipe element, each of the tapered first end, flat head and second end sections being integral thereby forming the pipe element, the means for driving the tapered section into the exhaust pipe including a saddle, a U-bolt with nuts, the saddle containing two bolt openings for attachment of the U-bolt to the saddle and an aperture for fitting the pipe element into the saddle.
