For the period April 1986 to March 1987, activities are reported for each of GRI's four advisory bodies: Advisory Council, Research Coordination Council (RCC), Industry Technical Advisory Committee (ITAC), and Municipal Gas System Advisory Committee (MGSAC). Evolving changes in the regulatory environment; formulation of the 1988 RandD budget and 1988-1992 plan; support of gas-related geosciences research; technical aspects and the relevance of current issues such as low oil prices, the gas deliverability surplus, fuel-switching capabilities, and the dynamics of gas pricing; special problems and RandD needs of the gas industry; indoor air quality, compressor station operation and maintenance, gas cooling systems, gas appliances, and secondary-gas-recovery technologies were topics discussed.
