First phase of Project EHV nears completion

General Electric Co.'s North Station for its Project EHV is approaching completion, with the station structure erected and most of the apparatus installed. The station and a short section of the line are scheduled for operation at 469 kV this fall. The project will operate at 460 kV level in 1961; in 650 to 750 kV range after that.
