Effects of air pollutants on vegetable crops grown in the San Joaquin Valley

The vegetable crops of the San Joaquin Valley are listed in order of their economic importance, and varieties are listed in order of their sensitivity to ozone. Interactive effects between ozone and humidity are discussed and analyzed. The effects of varying concentrations of ozone on several vegetable species (carrots, onions, spinach, lettuce, cucumbers) are tabulated and discussed. 10 references, 6 tables.
