The DA{Phi}NE {Phi}-Factory is an e{sup +}e{sup {minus}} high luminosity collider under construction at the INFN-LNF. At present its accumulator ring is being commissioned, and the first beam has been successfully stored. The preliminary estimates of the beam impedance have shown that the nominal current is above the microwave instability threshold. In this paper we investigate the single bunch behavior in the microwave regime for the DA{Phi}NE accumulator machine using both a time domain tracking code and an analytical study based on the Vlasov equation and mode coupling theory. {copyright} {ital 1997 American Institute of Physics.}
