OSTI ID:5745469
This book provides an analysis of the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act of 1987 which contains minimum efficiency standards for new residential appliances and HVAC products. The Act became law in March 1987. The analysis shows that the standards will lower peak electric demand nationally by 22,000 megawatts in 2000 and provide consumers with a net savings of more than $28 million.
