Domestic consumption of energy during August increased 3.2% over August of 1977, and 2% over July's consumption. Domestic production of energy during August increased by 2.5% from July's production compared to a 4.1% increase from July to August of 1977. Additionally, extensive data are compiled on crude oil, total refined petroleum products, total petroleum imports, motor gasoline, jet fuel, distillate fuel oil, residual fuel oil, natural gas plant liquids, US petroleum supply and demand, natural gas, oil and gas exploration and development, bituminous and anthracite coal, lignite, electric utilities, nuclear power, and prices of these commodities. Global data for petroleum consumption and crude oil production are included. (MCW)
