Computerized, Instrumented, Residential Analysis (CIRA) is a user-friendly program developed for microcomputers. More precisely, CIRA is a collection of programs related to building energy analysis and designed for a wide variety of microcomputers. It couples the state-of-the-art in interactive features with the latest developments in simplified computer models of building energy analysis. Descriptions are presented on how to use CIRA to describe house characteristics needed for energy analysis. Energy consumption calculations are briefly discussed. Microcomputer requirements necessary to run CIRA are noted.
