This symposium on feedwater heater technology was held on June 6--10, 1988 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This symposium was sponsored by EPRI and hosted by Duke Power Company to bring together representatives of utilities, manufacturers, researchers, and consultants. Twenty-five papers were presented in four sessions. These sessions were devoted to the following topics: ancillary equipment, materials and failure analysis, design features, and maintenance. A half day workshop devoted to design and maintenance was conducted at the conclusion of the formal presentations. More than 150 people attended this symposium. A one day optional seminar was conducted on Monday, June 6, and 79 people attended. This report contains 24 technical papers and the list of attendees. Of these 24 papers, there are 3 papers related to ancillary equipment; 8 papers related to materials and failure analysis; 7 papers related to design features; and 6 papers related to maintenance. Individual papers have been cataloged separately.
