The electrical and adhesive properties of transitional layers at the interface of n-type solid solutions of the system Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3/-Bi/sub 2/Se/sub 3/ with eutectic alloys of the system Bi-Pb-Cd-Sn, Bi-Pb-Sn, Bi-Sn are determined primarily by the state of the crystal surfaces (method of treatment of the surface prior to deposition of the contact) and the properties of the near-contact layers, formed as a result of the interaction of atoms of the components of the contact material with the constituent tellurium and selenium atoms of the crystals.
