Power system graphics package (PSGP) is developed and presented in this paper. This new package runs on a personal computer along with Microsoft Windows and ToolBook software packages. The chief advantage of PSGP is featured by its capability to combine texts and graphics into one package for power system analysis, design and education. PSGP contains extensive color graphics representations of power systems, interface with external power system simulation programs, dynamic display of the simulation results and communication among external and internal data bases. In addition, a PSGP user can edit large blocks of information using basic commands such as cut, copy, paste and clear. PSGP applications in power systems are illustrated by a few examples in this paper. The minimum system requirements, as well as the PSGP implementation and its specific features are discussed.
